John Memarian, RCVT, RDCS, RT
John has more than 8 years experience working in capital equipment companies as client executive, PACS product specialist, new market development, and sales training. He has worked with hospital systems in major markets, hospitals and underserved markets including services to heart program start-ups, strategic planning, marketing, facility planning, and program development, program evaluations, electrophysiology program development.
As a healthcare professional, John has more than 17 years experience in clinical cardiology, including support for cardiac surgery, catheterization and evoked potential labs and non-invasive cardiology, as well as multi-hospital department management, teaching experience, marketing and research and outreach programs.
He also has worked with top fortune 500 companies such as Hewlett-Packard, Agilent Technologies, GE Healthcare, and McKesson Cardiology, and served as sales consultant to vendor organizations including Burdick, Heamoscope, ATS and HeartSounds.
John served as a department director in Southern California, implementing a successful integration of two hospital non-invasive cardiology departments in six months to a single service line with common database and standard reporting. Also, he served as an outreach director with a community hospital in central California, transformed a service line, under-budget and in less than a year, from paper and tapes to digital review and reporting. This allowed the hospital to expand their services to three outreach clinics in the underserved markets in the adjacent counties.
Accomplishments and Experience:
As a product specialist, John has been engaged in variety of PACS projects that are multi-discipline, multi campus and vary in range and complexity. John was engaged in every aspect of these projects from the initial workflow assessment to project management over site and go-live reviews.
John has worked as a client executive with large hospital networks, creating feasibility studies, business plans to assist his clients in expand their cardiology service line with new technology and service offerings that created a competitive edge in their market.
John earned his bachelor of science degree in marketing from Columbia Southern University (CSU) and his associate degree in cardiovascular technology from Orange Coast College (OCC). His credentials include RCVT, RDCS and RTn and he's an active member of several professional organizations including the American Hospital Association.
